Everything you ever wanted to know about Ghostwriting but didn’t know who to ask!
Ghost-writer.jpgThere isn’t a definitive “Ghostwriting Guidebook.” Different writers work in different ways. First you need to search for a writer who has experience in the genre of writing you require. For example writing a biography or memoir requires very different skills to someone writing non-fiction. For the record I am a non-fiction writer. Once you have sourced the right type of writer you need to choose someone you like, who you feel is on your wavelength and most importantly someone who is easy to communicate with.

Added bonuses would be finding a writer who has a track record of writing books - preferably published by mainstream publishers. Whilst self publishing is now a legitamate production and distribution method if you are looking for a professional writer you want one that has proven themselves. Anyone can write a book and self publish it there is no in-built assessment process or selection criteria. On the other hand most people seeking a mainstream publishing contract are rejected so if your writer has navigated that process successfully it is a demonstration of their writing ability. This is especially true if they have been commissioned by mainstream publishers.
